I adopted these boys in April 2002 from Jeannerat (aka Valerie). They were born February 26, 2002. They're my first dumbos, and since I got them from an actual breeder, they were amazingly socialized from day one -- absolutely NO trust training was needed. Gordon is a seal point Siamese, Elwyn is a Russian blue point Siamese, and Walter and Albert are both silvered black berkshire. I honestly can't tell the two of them apart withough seeing their tummy markings (Walter's is wider), so I generally refer to them as "the twins."

When I refer to the whole group of them, I call them the Barenaked Boys, because they are each named after "characters" in Barenaked Ladies songs. Aside from also being the name of their first album, "Gordon" is featured in the song "(Steven Page is) Having a Baby." Elwyn's name comes from the banter on Rock Spectacle, called "Uncle Elwyn" -- it also the name of Ed Robertson's uncle, and one of Ed's middle names. "Walter" is mentioned in the Maroon song, "Tonight is the Night I Fell Asleep at the Wheel," and Albert's name comes from one of their early songs called "Couldn't Care Less." I should have named Walter Alfred, because, in the spirit of the song from which the two names come from, I could have just called the twins "The Als." Oh well...

Gordon passed on August 25th, 2004. Elwyn traveled over the Bridge on September 19th, 2004. Walter joined them on January 3rd, 2005. Though I had hoped Albert would make it to his third birthday on February 26th, 2005, being alone was just too much for him, and he joined his brothers over the Bridge a week and a day after Walter, on January 11, 2005. I know they're all in a huge rat burrito right now (see below), waiting for me.

Update: I recently found a roll of film from the Boyz first day home, and finally got it developed. The day they came home, my digital was broken, so I had to use film and my SLR camera. The pics are a little yellow, probably from sitting for over two and a half years! But just LOOK at these ears!!
