The
Stalag 13 Boyz Page 2 | Page 3 | Page 4 | Photos Main I adopted these boys on February 4th, 2005. They came from MaryZ in Rochester, New York, and are New Year's Rats! They were born on January 1, 2005. As many people know, I'm all about themes when it comes to names. This time, I picked one of my favorite old sitcoms, Hogan's Heroes. Just like the Barenaked Boyz, they came to be very socialized and gregarious. It's been a while since I had little ones in my home, so I'm having fun getting used to the energy all over again. Three of the boys (Hogan, Newkirk, and Klink) are Russian Blue with standard ears. Thankfully, small differences help me tell them apart. Klink is slightly lighter in color than Hogan and Newkirk. He is also a "self" (no markings), except he seems to have one little tiny spot on his back that is lighter than the rest of him. I don't know if it's a permanent marking, or something that will disappear when his adult coat comes in. Hogan has little white front feet, and a very fine stripe on his belly. Newkirk has the teeniest little Irish marking on his chest. I'm thinking that "at a glance" identification is going to be a challenge with these guys, but at least I know I can confirm identities by looking for these markings. Schultz, on the other hand, is a completely different story. First, he's rex. Second, he's a dumbo. Third... we have no earthly clue what color he is. When his adult coat comes in, we hope we'll be able to figure it out. He's not white, that's for sure... I'll keep everyone posted. UPDATE: We think he's a *deep breath* -- Russian Blue Platinum Rex Dumbo! *exhale* And now... pictures!
